Tolleson Awarded Diplomate Post-Licensure Certification in Prestigious Academy of Geo-Professionals

(Reston, VA) In its August 2011 Meeting, the Board of Directors of the Academy of Geo-Professionals (AGP) approved induction of ten professionals into the highest rank of ‘Diplomate’ of the Academy. The Diplomate Geotechnical Engineer (D.GE) status is considered the highest rank of post licensure certification in the geo-professional disciplines. Andrew R. Tolleson was one of ten candidates out of sixty that were inducted in the bi-annual board meeting. The Academy of Geo-Professionals has bestowed Diplomate GE certification for only 200 geotechnical engineers worldwide. The AGP's Diplomate certification program receives accreditation status from the Council of Engineering &

Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB). The Academy of Geo-Professionals (AGP) was formed by Geo-Professional Engineers from the Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. (CEC), which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) to improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the Geo-Profession. Nomination to International Construction Management Association (ICPMA) Accepted

The Tolleson Limited Company (USA) and its affiliate company, MTE Limited (Turks & Caicos, BWI) announce induction of its Director & CEO Andrew R. Tolleson into the International Construction Project Management Association (ICPMA). Mr. Tolleson’s nomination was accepted by the ICPMA Board in April 2011. The ICPMA was initiated in 2001 in Cannes, France, as an informal group of professionals, academics, and association representatives active in the field of Construction Project Management with the aim to:

Identify, develop, use and share the knowledge of construction project management worldwide;
Create an international platform for construction project management;
Gain recognition for the profession and ICPMA;
Set international standards for construction project management

Since 2003, ICPMA has gained in membership and following the Association’s 2005 AGM in Prague a constitution has been developed to secure the above. In the following year ICPMA was registered as a non-profit organisation in Switzerland.Until the 2009 AGM the ICPMA membership was based on country principle with the idea of having a representative of professional practice, university and national association from every member country. ICPMA had Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Ireland, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and USA as members. Retaining Wall Design & Slope Stability Seminar

(Columbia, SC) Design of earth retaining structures combine civil, geotechnical and structural engineering expertise. These structures include bulkheads, retaining walls, mechanically stabilized earth walls and a number of proprietary wall systems. Knowledge of behavior and feasibility of these systems is crucial to the designer and Owner. New techniques and software tools are available for use by engineers, architects and other design professionals to optimize design and value over the life of the structure. Dr. Ali Eliadorani, PhD, P.Eng is senior geotechnical manger with The Tolleson Limited Company and has extensive experience with wall system design and analysis. Dr. Eliadorani will be instructing a seminar on retaining wall design and analysis in Columbia, SC on January 26, 2011.
